About Casey

Hello! Guten Tag!สวัสดีค่ะ! bonjour!  buongiorno! g’day! namaste! سلام! Добрый день! chào!

My name is Casey. I’m a twenty-something gal from Flagstaff Arizona. No, there aren’t cactus everywhere as you probably envision, this is a mountain town with plenty of snow and skiing.

This is where I grew up. For proof.

I came from a fun but non-traditional family. My mother was a hippy with hair to her ankles who wandered around Morocco in a crocheted bikini top and bell-bottoms. She now sells mushrooms at the local farmers market. My father, a hippy as well, taught troubled kids in NSW and smoked paper bag joints while riding a motorcycle around Jamaica. He always took an interest in the indigenous people of the world. When I was 6 years old we rid ourselves of all possessions and moved across the world to New Zealand so he could work with the Maoris. He currently works/has worked with the Navajo and Hopi’s for several years now. I guess blood must run deep because I can’t seem to stay put anywhere for very long. Call it problematic, or adventurous but it usually gives me something to write about. I’m a nurse for old nan’s by trade but I’ve always had a bit of a love for writing. These are my tales (very honest tales) of my travel experiences. I’m here to encourage other women or (people in general) to get out there and see the world, but mostly I’m just here to talk about myself because it’s fun. Sorry. Thx! bye!
