When you’re a traveler, you get the luxury of staying in various places. While you’re on your travels, the chances are that you’ll experience all manner of accommodation. From the good to the bad, you’ll see and experience lots of different places. Some of them you’ll love and want to return to again, others of them you won’t ever want to set foot inside again.
As a traveler, you will probably have a good idea of what makes a hotel somewhere that you would recommend to your friends. ( I know that I do, anyhow.) So, with that in mind, below is a list of things that make hotels a cut above the rest for us travelers. (If you’re new to traveling and need help finding a hotel, this list should help you to make good decisions when selecting somewhere to stay.)
The things the cost of your room includes
When it comes to booking a hotel room, the chances are that you always keep an eye out for all-inclusive deals. This is because when you’re on a budget, you want to make small savings wherever you can. So, hotels that offer breakfast and free use of all facilities tend to be more popular with travelers. The truth is, the more a room charge includes, the more popular the hotel will be with travelers, it’s as simple as that.
Friendly and helpful staff
How friendly and helpful hotel staff are is important, as it can have a big impact on whether or not a hotel would be recommended to a friend. No matter how affordable a hotel is, that doesn’t mean that staff shouldn’t be polite and courteous. So, for most travelers, one thing that makes a hotel a cut above the rest is how the staff behave. If they’re friendly and polite, then the hotel is somewhere that would most probably be recommended to friends.
Rooms that meet expectation
One of the worst things a hotel can do is falsely advertise their facilities. Because when you pay for something, such as a room with a double bed, you expect to get it, not a smaller Queen-size bed instead. A major luxury for us travelers is having an en suite bathroom. So, any hotels that have en suite bathrooms, whether they’re made with fancy hotel bathroom pods or simply consist of a toilet and shower, we are sure to love.
The on-site facilities
Last but not least, when it comes to the best hotels, the on-site facilities are incredibly important. It’s not about fancy hot tubs and swimming pools, although these are a nice extra, it’s about things like access to free internet, pay phones, an on-site restaurant and bar, and a laundry facility. The on-site facilities should be tailored to the needs of guests on various types of trips, from business trips to exploration trips. To ensure that the hotel offers the best experience for each and every guest.
When it comes to the best hotels, what makes a certain establishment stand out is the little things. These include the politeness of the staff, the rooms themselves, and the on-site facilities.
